Culture Center for Alexandria
The Alexandria Cultural Center is designed as a contemporary visitor center that introduces the historical, cultural, and architectural identity of Alexandria to both residents and tourists. Located within the urban context of Alexandria, the project acts as a gateway experience where visitors can explore the city’s heritage, events, and cultural activities through interactive spaces and public gathering areas.
The design concept is based on fragmented geometric masses connected through dynamic circulation paths, creating visual movement and spatial interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. The project includes exhibition halls, lecture spaces, administration areas, a cafeteria, and reception zones organized around a central foyer that functions as the main social and orientation hub.
The architectural language combines modern minimalist forms with transparent façades and open public spaces to create a welcoming and accessible environment. Environmental considerations such as sun orientation, natural lighting, and circulation efficiency were integrated into the design process to improve user comfort and spatial performance.
The project aims to establish a new cultural landmark in Alexandria that enhances tourism, supports community engagement, and provides visitors with an informative and memorable introduction to the city’s history and identity.
